Experiment: Testing Food Samples for Starch, Glucose, Protein, and Fats
In the school Biology Laboratory, students carried out a practical investigation to detect the presence of different food components — starch, glucose, protein, and fats — in various samples. The activity aimed to help students understand the chemical composition of food and the specific tests used for identification.
Through this hands-on activity, students learned the importance of qualitative food tests in biological studies and developed skills in observation, handling laboratory equipment, and following safety precautions.
