🔥 Hands-On Science: Exploring Heat Conduction in Solids! 🔬
In our recent science class, students got a first-hand experience of how heat travels through solids with an exciting and interactive activity. Using a simple setup—an iron scale clamped horizontally, small bulletin board pins fixed with wax, and a gentle heat source—they observed how heat conducts through metal. As the flame heated one end of the scale, the wax began to melt in sequence, causing the pins to fall off one after another. This visual and engaging experiment clearly demonstrated the concept of conduction, where heat moves from the hotter part of a solid to the cooler part.
